A United Voice for First Nations Fisheries

Fisheries Management

One of the key themes in the BC First Nations Fisheries Action Plan is fisheries and aquatic resource management. The FNFC supports collaboration between First Nations communities and organizations in order to ensure active engagement of First Nations in management processes. First Nations aim to manage fisheries in a sustainable way to ensure habitat protection and fisheries conservation, to actively engage in management and decision making at all scales, and to ensure the health of resources and ecosystems for future generations.
