Overview
The BC First Nations Water Governance Roundtable was established in June 2017 to support First Nations engagement in planning, management, and governance of freshwater, and to facilitate a collective First Nations voice on freshwater. This foundational collaborative table has become a flagship program area for FNFC’s Water for Fish freshwater initiative, and provides a collaborative space for First Nations water champions to convene, share information, and advance their interests on freshwater matters of shared concern. The Roundtable meets four times per year and includes up to 20 staff and leadership comprising 55 First Nations across British Columbia.
