Skeena First Nations technical committee

We build processes, capacity, and relationships to help First Nations in BC influence the integrated planning and management of Pacific fisheries and aquatic resources at the province-wide level.

Overview

The Skeena First Nations Technical Committee (SFNTC) is an advisory process composed mainly of First Nations fisheries program managers, enforcement personnel, biologists, and technicians in the Skeena watershed region. The SFNTC has regular Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings to plan and discuss initiatives such as stock assessment, habitat assessment and restoration, water quality studies, limnological surveys, selective harvest techniques, and current fisheries science, research, and management.
